My name is Ilona, a Lithuanian soul currently living just 10 minutes from Loch Ness, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. I moved to the UK in 2008, shortly after finishing high school. It was an immense step to take at such a young age, yet deep within my heart I felt an undeniable pull towards Scotland - one that, to this day, I find difficult to put into words.

From a very young age, I felt a deep connection to nature and all living beings. I grew up amongst the forests and sacred lakes of Lithuania, immersed in the wisdom of the natural world and the elements that shape our existence: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Ether.

​

After leaving my homeland, I entered a period of profound personal struggle due to some trauma experienced in my childhood and teenage years. Some may call it a dark night of the soul, while others might describe it as depression. Regardless of the label, I spent many years trying to understand the depth of the pain I carried. A significant turning point came following a rock-climbing accident in the hills. I realised that I no longer had the energy to continue living in the way I had been.

That realisation eventually led me to the Amazonian jungle in Peru, where I had the privilege of sitting in ceremony with local curanderos (shamans) and working with sacred plant medicines. These experiences profoundly changed the way I understood life and myself. For the first time, I recognised that my sensitivity was not a burden to overcome, but a gift that could be used to compassionately hold space for others on their own healing journeys.

I remain deeply grateful for the teachings I have received along the way and continue to walk this path with humility, respect, and an open heart. There is always more to learn, and I honour the sacredness of this work while sharing it with those who feel called to receive it.

Since returning from Peru, I have devoted myself to both personal growth and formal training in shamanic practice. My studies with Mark and Claudia at the Edinburgh Shamanic Centre have supported me in deepening my understanding of the ancient ways of healing and strengthened my commitment to serving others with integrity, compassion, and authenticity.

​

Today, through shamanic healing, Kambo, therapeutic sound, drumming circles, drum birthing workshops, and the creation of sacred ceremonial tools, my intention is to offer safe and supportive spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, remember their own inner wisdom, and move towards greater balance and wholeness.
