Please bear in mind that this is a very large drum and it is slightly heavier in weight. It can still be played comfortably without the frame, but it does require a bit more upper body strength to use for longer periods.

SYMBOLIC ASPEN MEANING:
The aspen tree carries profound spiritual meaning, primarily symbolizing courage, transformation, and the ability to overcome fear. Known as the "shield tree," it represents protection from both physical and psychic harm. Its trembling leaves are often interpreted as whispering voices connecting the physical world with the spirit world or ancestral wisdom. The quivering leaves, even in still air, are believed to carry messages from the divine or ancestors, serving as a communication bridge. Because aspens grow in clones connected by a single, massive root system, they symbolize community, shared resources, and unity. Aspen is a powerful symbol of regeneration, able to thrive after adversity or fire. Associated with the element of air and the planet Mercury, the aspen represents eloquence and communication.
