CUSTOM MADE SHAMANIC DRUM FORM

Because of a growing workload, I am limiting custom orders to 5 per month for now. If I can’t take on your order, it simply means all available slots have been filled.

Drumming is a simple and effective way to induce an ecstatic trance state. It helps to reconnect with your spirit self, to gain insight into an issue that you want to resolve, to clarify life purpose or to access a higher power and more. I mainly work with Deer, Buffalo and Reindeer spirits. All Deer hides are sourced here from Scotland. In the absence of top predators in the wild, such as wolves, bears or lynxes, the wild deer population rise each year to the levels that have deleterious effects on the rest of the ecosystem. To try and manage this, unfortunately, the solution that is currently in place here in the UK is to cull the deer. While the meat does enter the venison trade, the vast majority of the hides are discarded, which is extremely sad. Giving a new life to the spirit of the fallen animal in the form of a Drum is a truly beautiful way to honour their spirit one last time. The Drum will then share the medicine and wisdom with whoever works with it. I also import ethically sourced Reindeer and Water Buffalo hide from trusted tradesmen. Despite this, I am always searching for alternatives and would be happy to find a vegan-friendly option, but so far, all I have come across are synthetic materials(plastic and oil), and I don't support such harmful chemicals.

Non-Refundable Deposit Policy

This deposit is non-refundable because the piece is custom-made specifically for you. Your order requires me to dedicate time, materials, and resources that cannot be repurposed for other clients. In accepting your commission, I also set aside time from other work commitments to create your unique piece.

Exceptions – When a Deposit May Be Refunded:

• If I am unable to complete the project due to unforeseen personal or professional circumstances.

• If significant delays occur on my end due to unforeseen circumstances

• If materials required for your piece become unavailable and a suitable alternative cannot be agreed upon.

• If you encounter difficult life situations that are out of your control and you cannot financially commit to such purchase.

  For example: sudden job loss, medical emergencies, unexpected family responsibilities, or other significant financial hardships.

• I understand that life can be unpredictable, and while deposits are generally non-refundable due to the time and resources involved in custom work, I will always consider genuine circumstances with compassion and understanding. In such cases, please reach out as soon as possible to discuss your situation.

Custom Painting Guidelines

• Custom paintings are a collaborative and intuitive process, and I want to ensure a positive experience for both of us.

• Please provide as much information as possible upfront about your vision, preferences, and intentions for the piece. The more detail you share at the beginning, the better foundation I have to work from. Custom artwork takes time, care, and energy, and clear direction at the start helps avoid unnecessary revisions later.

• Once your painting is completed, one round of changes is included. If additional changes are requested beyond this, an extra fee of £15 per hour will apply. This is to fairly compensate the time and effort involved, especially if the work extends over several days or even a week.

I also kindly ask for a level of creative freedom. My work is guided by intuition and created from the heart space. In the past, excessive micromanagement has made the process feel very restricted. If I feel that this may be the case, I reserve the right to decline the commission.

Please understand that the drum and the intuitive process guide me throughout the creation of each piece. Trusting this process allows the artwork to unfold authentically and meaningfully.

6. Drum beater – I never cut any branches to make my work, so I only look for fallen branches and use what is available in the area. You are welcome to pick 1 simple symbol that can be added to the drum beater.

PAYMENT PLAN 

• This option is available for those who are on a lower income or can’t make a full payment. The Drum can be paid off by separate payments over the course of no more than 2 months.

• The Drum is posted after the last payment is received.
